We have successfully completed an energy saving project
On 20 June, the Na Homolce Hospital officially completed one of the largest and most comprehensive energy saving projects in the Czech healthcare sector. The ambitious project took just one year to complete and brought the hospital energy cost savings of up to 40%. The implementation included investments in roof insulation, replacement of windows, doors and other façade elements, modernisation of heating and air conditioning, lighting, photovoltaics, control of technological equipment, all while the hospital was fully operational.

"I am very pleased that this long and carefully prepared project was completed in such a short time without major complications. The hospital has a very demanding energy operation that operates in a continuous mode. The invested funds will pay off very well in the long run," comments the hospital director MUDr. Petr Polouček, MBA.
The hospital effectively used subsidies from the Operational Programme Environment and the New Green Savings Programme in the amount of CZK 720 million, with the total investment amounting to approximately CZK 1.1 billion. The insulation, project preparation and engineering required approximately CZK 700 million, while investments in the modernisation of building technology equipment amounted to CZK 432 million.
The actual implementation of the project required extraordinary coordination and consideration for patients and staff, as the work was carried out while the hospital was fully operational.
